Dave was born on Grandma's birthday and they enjoyed celebrating many birthday's together.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE....I remember so well the morning you FINALLY decided to make your appearance into this wonderful world. You have been a great son, super husband and loving father!

She had phoned her grandpa and said "she had been thinking and wanted her daddy to lay his hands on her head [gift of the Holy Ghost] and her grandpa baptize her. I just love this picture as she looks up at the both of them.
We were thrilled to be able to make the trip and had a wonderful weekend with the family!

This was the view outside their front window. We were freezing the first night, cold the second night and comfortable the third night. Guess you just have to get use to the temperature...brrrrrrr.
As soon as Spencer gets home from school he starts right in on his homework. He is doing really great this year in school and scouts. Three times friends came to the door...knock, knock..."can Spencer play yet". This is also a motivation to get his homework done. But, wow...he has sooooo much work for only elementary school; reminding me of a saying one mother told a teacher, "you have my child all day to do school work, but when he get's home, he is mine". Don't think the teachers get that concept yet.
These two girls love doing crafts. When Mel got home we found a soda can on the sink and decided to decorate it with hair, hat, clothes...quite an imagination. I am very excited that we finally figured out how to download pictures from our phone to computer [thanks, Joe] Anyway, we had told Christian that we would take him out for his birthday...and like last year, he already had his mind made up of where and what he wanted to do. So, this time it was I-HOP for a huge chocolate funny face pancake.

The best part is that they are all friends. They communicate by e-mail, telephone, visits, and the most recent is the Wii. They can be in different states and still play games with their cousins, uncles, and aunties. 
What would happen if we treated our Scriptures like our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we spent an hour or more using it every day?
What if we used it to reeive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you say:
"Hmmmm, where are my scriptures?"
